Alex Ott is a recognized leader in the agriculture and small business community of Fresno County.

As a Fresno County Supervisor, Alex will work to increase public safety, support agriculture, which is absolutely critical to Fresno’s economy; and will remain steadfast against tax increases that make it difficult for hardworking families and small business owners to compete and make ends meet. Alex is committed to the fiscally conservative principles that are key to the county’s long-term success.

Alex Ott’s background and experience has more than prepared him for the Fresno County Board of Supervisors. For more than a decade, Alex has managed state commissions, federal marketing programs and trade associations, representing California agriculture throughout the world and assisting farmers and ranchers across the state. Alex currently serves as the Executive Director of the California Apple Commission, The California Blueberry Commission, The California Olive Committee and the California Blueberry Association.

Alex has spent over 17 years working with farmers and small businesses. His company, Ott & Davison Consulting, LLC provides food safety and security management for farmers all while looking at cutting red tape. In addition to his ag business company, Alex Ott is the owner of Fresno’s semi-professional women’s soccer team, The Fresno Freeze.

Ott’s business experience helped Alex during his term as the Chairman of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. Alex’s commitment to promoting private enterprise led to his appointment as the vice-chairman of the Fresno County Blue Ribbon Business Committee, which was established to review policies and make recommendations to Fresno County so it could be more business-friendly and attract jobs.

A lifelong proponent of public safety, Alex was appointed to the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Site Commission and assisted in the building of a new juvenile detention facility, which was completed in 2009. In addition to the time he has dedicated to improving the county’s business climate, Alex is active in schools, serving as a state judge for junior high and high school competitions during the California State History Day for over 20 years. Additionally, Alex serves as the President of a local youth soccer club and coaches for local youth soccer programs. He also dedicates time to local organizations to replace headstones for deceased local veterans.

Alex serves on the California Ag Leadership Foundation Alumni Council where he received a “Profiles in Leadership” award for his “Continued Contributions and continued involvement in his community and California Ag Leadership.” He has also been recognized as one of Business Street’s “40 under 40” for his work in business and the community.

Alex has been married to his wife Lisa, a Central Valley native, for 16 years. They have a daughter Regan (14) and son Jordan (11). They attend Foundation Baptist Church in Clovis.
